Monster Island

Monster Island, the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about a mysterious island where a monstrous creature lives, and the island itself serves as a metaphor for the monstrous creature.


Asylum has a low budget, simple film that concentrates on a small group of human beings. This allows the film's A-listers to be concentrated in one location so that all their sequences can be shot at lunch. However, this is (Monster Island (2019) Asylum) a kaiju movie, and that is kind of how they do, so perhaps The Asylum won’t do such a terrible job with it.
